DanceWeekend (4)

My HIGHER self (Toronto) – This duet is about a woman and her struggle to find balance in this busy world. She’s in a battle with her fluctuating emotions and is in search for a better version of herself. Slowly, she discovers the ‘yin’ she so desperately yearns for actually lies within – if only she slowed down long enough to unleash it. (DanceWeekend 2017)

Running Out of Time (Calgary, Toronto) – Presented first at Ignite! Festival in Calgary, it then appeared in Alberta Dance Explosions and the Thought Express Festival in Calgary, and finally as part of the Cabaret Series at the Luminato Festival in Toronto. The piece combines contemporary and house feel with wild abandon and is a reflection of my own bad habit of rushing. (2007,2008 and 2011)

Nature of Things (Calgary) – Presented as part of the Ignite! Festival in Calgary. This 13 min. piece is a lighthearted look at our desire to find intimate connections with an ever-lasting soul mate. It compares our habits to that of birds and geese and was inspired as a result of living by the river and observing mating habits. (2008)
